Ingredients
Mutton 250gms
Clove – 3, Cardamom – 2, Cinnamon – 1″ bark Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Garam masala – 1 tbsp
Ginger – 1″ piece
Garlic – 5 pods
Onion – 1 big
Tomato – 2 medium
Green chillies – 3 medium
Drumstick – 1
Finely chopped coriander leaves – 1 hand hold
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Oil/water as per requirement
Salt as per taste
Method
- In a cooker/pressure pan add oil and saute the finely ground onion, ginger and garlic.
- Add the washed mutton pieces and mix well. Add salt, turmeric and kashmiri chilli powders (or chilli powder) and saute well.
- Add 1 cup water, mix and cook for 3/5 whistles.
- In a pan, add oil, the whole spices, curry leaves and fry lightly.
- Add all the mutton from the cooker with the water and mix nicely.
- Add the cut drumstick and sliced tomatoes and mix. Cover lid and leave for 5 minutes in low flame to cook.
- Add garam masala powder, handful of finely chopped coriander leaves and let it cook for a few minutes.
- It is ready to be served.
